What's the story with these ridiculous diploma mills like University of Phoenix and Strayer and AIU and the like. There are truly good and reputable accredited online MBA programs out there but these guys are the reason why employers will not accept or look down-upon online MBAs. Everyone I have ever talked to about especially U. of Phoenix says it's a joke. An MBA is more than a piece of paper so you can advance. Whatever happened to learning for the sake of learning and for personal development? The MBA is supposed to create leaders (or enhance leadership potential). How are these box-top diploma mills instilling leadership when their programs are an insult to our intelligence? Everyone boycott these degree/diploma mills (starting with University of Phoenix)!!! And if you're not sure whether they're legitimately accredited or not...make sure they're part of the "Six Sisters" of Regional Accreditation. (There are 6 regional accrediting bodies that makes an MBA program legit). Do your research and boycott these jerkoffs. You can't miss 'em....they advertise everywhere.
